10 Good Books for Teenagers

Redwall, by Brian Jacques

The Redwall series is full of action and adventure. The peaceful Redwall abbey, which is run by about every little woodland creature you can think of, is in danger of an evil rat army. This army is run by the most evil, the worst rat around, Cluny the Scourge. The animals of Redwall abbey must fight back for the first time of their lives, and there only hope is to find the ancient sword of their hero, Martin the Warrior. You’ll have to the book to find out what happens.

Eragon, by Christopher Poalini

Eragon is a simple farm boy who is hunting out in the Spine, when a blue flash lights up the sky and a mysterious blue stone appears at his feet. In a few weeks this egg hatches into a dragon. The town’s old, crazy storyteller, Brom, tells Eragon that he is the last Dragon Rider alive and that they must flee the town at once, because King Galbatorix will surely kill him if he finds out. I loved this book because of its non-stop action and amazing plot.

Kingdom Keepers, by Ridley Pearson

When Disney turns Finn into a DHI, or Disney Holographic Imaging, he gets famous, a bunch of money to go into his college fund, and… the ability to go to Disney World at night. There he meets an old Imagineer named Wayne, the other 4 kids that were turned into DHI’s, and all the Disney characters, including the villains. What does all that add up to? Lots of adventure and a great book.

Harry Potter, by J. K. Rowling

Harry Potter finds out he’s a wizard on his 11th birthday. Harry enters a world full of amazing magic when he goes to the witch and wizard school Hogwarts and he soon makes new friends with Ron and Hermione. But it’s not just all fun and games at Hogwarts. Harry and his friends soon discover information about the mysterious Sorcerer’s Stone, a stone that will grant the user eternal life, and that someone is about to steal it! This book enchants me with its charm and great ideas.

The Pyramid of Fire, by Rick Riordan

Alex Rider, by Anthony Horowitz

Silverfin, by Charlie Higson

Ranger’s Apprentice, by John Flanagan

Will is a small and skinny orphan boy in the Kingdom of Auralen. When the day comes to decide his profession in life he wants to become a knight, but the Head Knight says that he is not strong enough. Auralen’s Ranger, Halt, trains Will in skill and stealth, instead of brawn. So when the evil Morgorath threatens The Kingdom of Auralen, Will and Halt must defend it. This book is one of my all time favorites because of its lightning fast pace.

The Hunger Games, by Susan Collins

This fantastic book is about the future North America. The Capitol forces the surrounding 12 districts to participate in the annual horror-ridden Hunger Games. One boy and one girl from each district must go to the Hunger Games, so when Katniss Everdeen makes the decision to save her sister Prim and go to the hunger games, she thinks it is an immediate death sentence. This book is part action, part sci-fi, and has a little romance in it. It’s a great book.

Gregor the Overlander, by Susan Collins

Eragon: by Christopher Paolini

Eragon, by Christopher Paolini, is a book full of adventure, action, and betrayal. My Rating: Eragon (the main character) is just a young farm boy that lives in a village called Carvahall. While hunting in the Spine (a range of mountains full of mystery and danger) there is a bright flash of white light. There, [...]
